Kerajaan Mori buku
The Kingdom of Mori was one of developing kingdoms in Indonesia at that time. Just like other kingdoms in Indonesia, this Kingdom was established and officially given its endorsement by local stories (legends) based on society’s collective memory. The establishment of this Kingdom was begun by the appearance of a prominent figure named Mokole Moiki who then got married with also a Mokole, named Mokole Mohainga coming from an area around Matano Lake. That marriage widely influenced the societies living around. The chief of each group (collectively referred to as mia mota’u) continuously came to pay homage to him and asked him to be their leader. Furthermore, they asked him to move from his current residence to their lands in order to be their ruling king. Then Mokole Moiki and his queen moved and resided in Wawontuko and later on established a kingdom which supervised a number of communities residing around. Mokole Moiki then became the first King (Mokole I) of the Kingdom of Mori which was established by the united communities.
The estimate time of the establishment of this Kingdom is approximately around the year of 1580 with its first King, Marunduh I (1580-1620). The history of this Kingdom reveals a unique story about very determined will and strong spirit to defend the liberty and sovereignty of the Kingdom and its people. The expansion of power and territory were not conducted by war which was purposed to conquer the aimed target. The duty of the ruling person was commonly to defend the liberty and sovereignty of his people. In case there was a conflict occurred between communities that had not been fused into his kingdom, he wouldn’t mediate it. Yet, in case there was a request for help, he would help to take care of the problem. In this case, if he succeeded to help and solve the problem, the party who had already accepted the help, would voluntarily joined with Kingdom of Mori. Moreover, the party (community) which had previously been against the party, which had already accepted the help, surrendered and subjected to the authority of the Kingdom of Mori.
